Five of the most beautiful beaches in the world

Five Of The World’s Dreamiest Beaches! Test Drive Your Swimwear On

It’s summer.

You’ve got the money to spare and the friends to travel with. You’ve just bought your dream bikini (or several) and trendy cover-up. You even have all the accessories to match; a big, floppy sun hat, cute flip-flops, and a beautiful (and sturdy!) beach bag to carry all those must-have essentials. The only thing missing?

The Location!

Don’t worry, beach babe, we’ve got you covered. Here are five of the world’s dreamiest beaches to head to for a truly unforgettable summer.

Whitehaven Beach, Queensland, Australia

Protected by the Whitsunday Islands National Park, Whitehaven Beach is an eco-friendly stretch of coastline (about 4.4 miles) that rests in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef

Arguably one of Australia’s most famous beaches, this seaside paradise is a visual delight. Swirls of turquoise green and blue water offset by the near-luminescent white of the sand (which is reportedly 98% pure white silica). There are a number of covens, lagoons, and inlets dotting the area. Add to that sunny, clear blue skies and, voila! You’ve got yourself a truly stunning summer backdrop.

Its remote location also means it’s rarely ever crowded, which is great if you’re there to relax and unwind. To get there, you can hop on a seaplane, ferry, high-speed catamaran, or Sunlander train (runs four times a week from Brisbane to Cairns).

Camps Bay, Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town is probably one of the world’s most beautiful cities, and Camps Bay – Cape Town’s most popular beach – shares its beauty. Imagine; magnificent white sand and turquoise water dappled with seafoam and wave breaks, all set against the Twelve Apostle Mountain Range and Table Mountain—two natural formations that are nothing short of breath-taking.

Whether you’re a budding photographer, a total pro, or just a snap-happy smartphone user, the view definitely deserves several photos. Do know that the water’s a bit colder due to the currents in the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll get used to it after a while, but we do recommend bringing a warm kaftan or cover-up.

Navagio Beach, Zakynthos, Greece

Navagio Beach is another beach that almost everyone knows—or has at least seen. Despite it being a little hard to get to, it remains a popular filming location, acting as the backdrop for quite a number of scenes in quite a number of movies.

This C-shaped cove has a lot of distinct features that make it worth a visit: sparkling white sand, beautiful blue waters, striking limestone cliffs … and local legend. They say that Navagio Beach – also known as the Shipwreck Beach – is home to the wreck of Panagiotis, a supposed smuggler’s ship in the 1980s

If you want to splash in the sea or get a great tan in an area rich with cultural myth and natural wonder, this place is for you. Don’t forget to take a pic of the ship.

Na Pali Coast, Kauai, Hawaii

Running for some 17 miles along the northwest side of Kauai Island, Na Pali Coast is a picture of natural beauty. The cliff faces are speckled with lush green grass, the sand is a beautiful light tan, and the clear blue water sparkles under the bright summer sun. Considered a sacred place by locals, parts of the coast can be reached by plane, boat or canoe.

If you fancy getting some leisurely cardio in, you can trek the Kalalau Trail; an 11-mile hike (22-mile round trip) that spans most of the coast and runs from Ke’e Beach to Kalalau Beach—both beautiful options to spend the day at as well! Looking for a summer getaway full of nature-themed activities? We’d say Na Pali Coast is a pretty solid option.

Blue Lagoon, Ölüdeniz, Turkey

Don’t be thrown off by the town’s name Ölüdeniz, which means “dead sea.” It’s actually named that way because of how calm the waters are!

What’s more, Ölüdeniz is known for its serene, relaxed atmosphere. No boisterous nightlife, no drunken raves, and no noise pollution. Just a lot of respectful locals, some rich culture, and plenty beach-related activities that you can do on and around the Blue Lagoon! Paragliding, anyone?

If this sounds like your ideal vacation, we highly recommend you check it out! Warm white sand, calm blue waters, and maybe some boating in-between—what more could you ask for?
